I have always loved to give massages. This summer, as part of my Ayurvedic training I received an intense Abhyanga Ayurvedic massage training as part of my studies at Ayurdaay Nilayam.
I am now happily sharing my Ayurvedic massage skills in a wonderful practice in Amsterdam South (Amsterdam South Health Center).

IN NEED FOR A MASSAGE?
Currently the costs are only € 50,- for 75 min. Each appointment I start by evaluating your polse and asking you a few questions in order to determine any disbalance and what could be beneficial for the massage.
With Ayurvedic massage we use plenty of warm oil (mmmmmm!) that is massaged deeply into the tissues, nourishing your whole body and calming your nervous system.
According to your constititution, disbalance, the season, your plans after the massage etc I will choose a medicated oil which is beneficial for you. A medicated oil combines a base oil (such as sesame, almond, coconut, or sunflower) that can be infused with a decoction of one or more Ayurvedic herbs—combining the nourishing and soothing qualities of the oil with the healing properties of the herbs.
BENEFITS OF AYURVEDIC OIL MASSAGE
There come many benefits with Abhyanga massage. Abhyanga massage is especially good to release stress as it deeply calms the system. Also when you feel weak, depleted and experience lack of energy this massage is deeply nourishing.

The massage comes with many strokes, long and short, covering the full body. Pace and pressure adjusted to your wishes/disbalance. I will give some extra care to muscle knots, but in general it is not a strong massage like – connective tissue or sports massage. The medicated oil will do its work, penetrating deep within the body and leaving its effects long after the massage has ended.

- Calming for the nerves
