Ayurveda & Female Hormones – The understanding towards the balance
All women know from experience…. hormones can be complex! And they are….
Hormones act as regulators, precursors, preceptors, creators and liberators of substances throughout the body.

The traditional approach of Ayurveda and Chinese medicine allows for a new and more easy to comprehend perspective. The knowledge you gain through this workshop will give you a much better understanding of the different types of hormones, how they work, what they do and most importantly: for you to recognize and heal hormonal imbalances in your own system.
Because once we comprehend how our hormones work and how they get disturbed it is easier to restore their equilibrium and turn them into our ally rather than our enemy.

This workshop includes a lot of practical information on diet, specific herbs, exercise and daily routine to support hormonal balance.

WHAT ARE WE GOING TO DO?
The workshop consists of theory and practice. The theory part will take about 1,5 to 2 hours. We take a 30 min break and then we continue with practical yoga exercises.

THEORY

  • We start with an introduction of ourselves and the origin of Ayurveda. This introduction is part of every workshop.
    Lola Peña will continue with the first part – the theory – of this workshop
  • We look at Women According to Ayurveda, our female flow and what are the general pathological causes of disease.
  • What are the signs and how to recognize hormonal imbalance. What hormones are, what they do and what are their roles.
  • What organs or system of functions get affected when hormones do not work properly. What are the srotas (micro and macro channels) and where do we locate the hormones from Ayurvedic perspective.
  • Difference between synthetic, bio-identical and natural hormone source.
  • What to eat, what to do to balance your hormones and what herbs and plants can support you during this process. You will also learn how plastic affects your hormonal health.
  • The emotional and psychological aspects to keep your cortisol levels aligned to your life principals.

BREAK

  • 30 min with a snack.

PRACTICE

  • Supporting your hormonal care, there are a number of very effective yoga postures (asanas), pranayama (breathing exercises) and other exercises that support the proper functioning of your hormones.
  • I guide you through a balancing hormonal practice.
    This includes the relation between your chakras and the glands, the activation of your endocrine system to produce and secrete certain hormones, anti-stress, constructive rest and relaxation exercises.
  • We conclude with a well-deserved yoga nidra session.

    The emphasis on the masculine creates all sorts of disbalances in women (and men!) – the physical, mental and emotional body. Therefore we created these workshops, to give you tools to nourish and celebrate your femininity and maintain or restore balance.

    You can choose to follow a single workshop of the series ‘Ayurveda for women’. However, participating all 4 workshops will give you a deeper and all-round insight into women’s health from Ayurvedic perspective. We really recommend this.
  4. Gives self-insight
    From Ayurvedic point of view everybody has a unique ‘constitution’ and therefore different needs in order to maintain its perfect health. Through this workshop you will gain better understanding of how your ‘make-up’ is effected by your hormones and if there are any hormonal imbalances. Self-knowledge is the key to self-care.
  5. Practical & empowering
    You will learn how you can easily support your hormones them and restore their equilibrium at home, with home remedies, diet, routine and exercises. No expensive doctor’s visits and no chemical pills.
